The Art of Mike Dubisch

An oddball quick-sketch video...

I am a compulsive doodler. I've managed to channel this into a career as an illustrator of comics, games and toys. Drawing for an audience has always been part of what I do, and I've worked as a caricaturist, and as a drawing instructor. I recently discovered I could produce some interesting "live animation" as well as some other unusual special effects by employing a split screen setting on my laptop's camera. I originally called this experimental series Ambidextrocity as I drew with both hands to add an extra level to the trick. In my more recent Cthonic Doodling series I use only the hidden space and my right hand to pull off the illusion of live, morphing animation.
